Dharma lainaus

ViestiKirjoittaja ... » Ma Kesä 23, 2014 10:32 am

Tähän lainauksia eri opettajilta eri traditioista.

The ultimate teacher, the absolute, is never separate from us,
Yet immature beings, not recognizing this, look outside and seek him far away.
Sole father, with your immense love you have shown me my own wealth;
I, who was a pauper, constantly feel your presence in the depth of my heart.
Wisdom-teacher pervading all the world and beings, samsara and nirvana,
You show how all phenomena can arise as teachings,
Convincing me that everything is the absolute teacher;
I long for ultimate realization, and feel your presence in the depth of my heart.

~ Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Kärsimys vain on, ei ketään kärsijää;
teko on, vaan ei tekijää;
nirvana on, vaan ei sen etsijää;
polku on, vaan ei sen matkaajaa.

Lainauksia Ramana Maharshilta.

Tuolta videoista (Guy Newland) bongasin, aika nätti. Kai tämä tähän sopii.
Looking Nakedly, Resting Still

I the yogi, Milarepa, look nakedly and see the essence
What I see is beyond concept, what I see resembles space
Free from motion, resting still—I realize the true nature
All the things there are are empty—their empty essence is what I realize
Relaxing loosely, letting go—original wisdom holds its ground
In the river of awareness the mud settles down and the brightness shines
I take my concepts and throw them away—recollection and thoughts are cut
The deep abyss of the six realms has been sealed completely—that’s over for me now
I know for sure my mind is Buddha, so there’s nothing I need to gain or achieve
When realization shines from inside, it’s like when the sun’s light shines on the night
All my thoughts, the whole collection, and disturbing states of mind
Without effort, in their own place, disappearing and now gone
-Songs of Realization, Milarepa

Korjaukset ovat tervetulleita (pahoittelen virheitä).

"The Samādhi That Definitively Shows the Precise Nature":

The Knower of the World, not listening to others,
Taught the dharma by way of these two truths,
The relative and the ultimate—
There is no third truth.

Beings generate faith in the Sugata
For the sake of happiness.
The Victorious One, for the sake of beings,
And to benefit the world, taught the relative truth.

When the Buddha taught about the six realms of beings—
The realms of hell, animals, hungry ghosts,
Demi-gods, humans, and gods—
They were all relative imputations made by the Lion of Humans.

Low classes, high classes,
Rich households and poor ones too,
Servants and slaves,
Men, women, and neuters—

Whatever distinctions among beings there are,
You, the peerless one, taught about this in the world.
Being skilled and thoroughly knowledgeable in the relative truth,
You taught about it to humans for the benefit of the world.

Sentient beings who are fond of saṃsāra
Will, in their circling, engage in the eight worldly dharmas:
Gain and loss, fame and disrepute,
Praise and criticism, and joy and sorrow.

In times of gain their attachment will surge.
Loss will, in turn, disturb their minds.
The rest of these eight illnesses are the same:
They will continuously harm beings.

Know that whoever propounds the relative as the ultimate
Is of erring intellect.
There will be those who speak of the unpleasant as pleasant, suffering as happiness,
The selfless as a self,

And impermanent phenomena as permanent.
Whoever is taken in by the elaborations of those teachings
Will, upon hearing the teachings of the Sugata,
Become frightened; not understanding them, they will renounce

Having abandoned the teachings of the Sugata,
These sentient beings will undergo the unbearable sufferings of the
Even though they seek out misguided forms of happiness,
The immature will only be pounded by a hundred sufferings.

Whoever has a mind that can stay with and quickly understand
The teachings that benefit the world
Will, like a snake shedding its old skin, free themselves of all bonds.
Transcending all existence, they will attain peace.

“All phenomena are devoid of inherent nature.
They are empty and free of characteristics—this is the ultimate.”
Whoever hears this and gives rise to joy
Will attain unsurpassable enlightenment.

Victorious One, you see the aggregates as hollow (wenpa/dben pa),
And you see the constituents and the sources in the same way.
You see the fortress of the faculties to be void of traits.
You, the Sage, see all phenomena precisely in this way.

Kumarran ja pohdin merkitystä.
